Ingredients
- 2 square sheets ready-rolled puff pastry, thawed according to the packet
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp water
- ¼ cup cranberry sauce
- ⅓ cup grated tasty cheese
- ¼ cup finely grated parmesan
Method
- Heat oven to 200°C conventional or 180°C fan. Line two trays. Beat egg with water.
- Brush one pastry sheet lightly with egg wash. Spread cranberry sauce thinly, keeping a 1cm border at opposite edges; add tasty cheese.
- Cover with the second sheet and press lightly to seal. Cut into strips about 1cm wide.
- Twist each strip several times and place apart on trays. Brush with remaining egg wash and scatter parmesan over.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until puffed, golden and cooked through. Cool briefly before serving.
Useful tips
- Avoid overfilling, which makes twisting messy.
- Adults can prepare the strips; older children can help twist.
